New Footage Emerges of ICE Agent Involved in Minnesota Shooting — National Outrage and Scrutiny Deepen

In the weeks since a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent fatally shot 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis on January 7, newly released footage showing the moments before the shooting has sparked intense public outrage, political backlash, and deep scrutiny of federal law enforcement practices.

Graphic New Footage Adds Fuel to Fire

47-second video taken from the cellphone of the ICE agent who fired the shots has been circulated widely online. The footage, first obtained by a Minnesota news outlet and reposted by federal authorities, shows the agent approaching Good’s vehicle and capturing a tense exchange before deadly gunfire erupts. In the clip, Good can be heard speaking calmly to the officer—saying “that’s fine, dude, I’m not mad at you”—moments before shots are heard.

The video shows Good’s spouse also recording the encounter, at one point taunting the agent before another officer orders Good to exit her car. As the vehicle begins to move, the camera jerks and gunshots follow. Although the video doesn’t clearly show whether the car struck the agent, audio and on-screen action have been central to competing narratives about what happened.
