VERY SAD, 30 minutes ago in Chicago, “America’s Got Talent” Simon Cowell was confirmed as…”Amanda Holden almost missed out on Britain’s Got Talent

Hosted by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, ITV’s long-running talent show,    Britain’s Got Talent   , returns this week for its    18th series . The judging panel included former X Factor   judge      Simon Cowell, as well as    Amanda Holden   ,    Alesha Dixon   and YouTube star    KSI   .

Holden has been a fan favorite since the show’s debut, earning her the affectionate title “Queen of Britain’s Got Talent.” However, she’s almost never a part of the show.Simon Cowell revealed that the role was   originally offered to Cheryl Cole  , then known for her music career. “A week before we started filming, she called me and said, ‘I just can’t do it,’ without giving me a reason,” he recalled. Fortunately for viewers, Holden stepped in and has been a mainstay of the panel ever since.
